After graduating from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Psychology in 2004, Leanne served for three years as youth minister at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church in Frisco, Texas. During her time at Grace Avenue, Leanne established and continued programming for students in 6th-12th grade as well as assisted in planning and execution of three weekly services for 500+, weekly hospital visitation, and provided leadership for committees of students and adults. Leanne also served as a camp counselor at Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center for Junior High, Senior High and Mid-Winter Camps as well as an adult volunteer at Youth Annual Conference. Spring Break Mystery Trips are Leanne's favorite part of youth ministry and she claims to have perfected the art of planning and hiding these annual trips.
Leanne utilizes her gifts in administration and organization to keep up with the website, speaking calendars, and inquiries for Andy Stoker and Charles Harrison. She is passionate about equipping youth ministers, developing community, leading youth to theological thinking, and intergenerational ministry.
She finally answered the call to seminary beginning in Fall, 2008 and is working on her Master of Divinity at Perkins School of Theology at SMU.
Leanne is originally from the Philadelphia suburbs and has family in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Maintaining a balance of north and south, Leanne has been a Texan for almost seven years. She lives with friends and two cats in North Dallas.
