Georgia is currently in school full-time. She is working on a MDiv at Perkins School of Theology at SMU, planning to finish in 2009. She is also a Congregational Consultant for the Center for Wesleyan Renewal.
Previously, Georgia was the Youth Minister for Mission at First United Methodist Church in Richardson, TX. She led the youth on 6 mission trips each year and organized other service projects for them during the year. She was also responsible for updating the youth website.
Before going into church work, she worked in software development for 20+ years in the Dallas area at TI, SAIC, USDATA, Inet, and Yotta Networks. Georgia has a BS in Math from Mississippi College and an MS in Math from Clemson (although she has never actually used any higher level math in any of her jobs!). She considers her strengths to be team building and developing individuals to achieve their highest potential. Georgia has been involved in Youth Ministry for 15+ years in various areas.
She has been married to Charles for 16 years and she credits him with encouraging her to continue on her spiritual journey, even when she falters. They have two children, Ricky age 15, and Marisa age 11.
