Andy received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. It was during these years in Austin that he was called to ordained ministry in the U.M.C. Andy served as the Director of Student Ministries at White Rock U.M.C. in east Dallas, Wesley U.M.C. in Greenville, TX., and First U.M.C. of Richardson, TX. while attending seminary at Perkins School of Theology at S.M.U. In 2003, Andy was appointed to plant a church in the growing city of McKinney, TX. Today, that church plant is known as Wellspring U.M.C. and is a dynamic community of faith committed to making disciples in a Wesleyan spirit. Andy has a passion for helping clergy and laity in the U.M. Church rediscover their Wesleyan roots and find ways for those roots to nourish and give new life to their ministry.
